Mr Beardface and I went to a close friends wedding this weekend, it twas lovely, had a fantastic time.

But it just makes me realise how close our wedding is and how un prepared we are. Gah. I kept putting it off, not that I don’t love weddings, researching and planning online and day dreaming…but we just havent had the money.

Now I really have to get cracking though. I have delegated some things to Mr Beardface. Organising rings, honeymoon, cars, suits, and helping choose the invitations and guest list and wedding registry (or maybe honeymoon registry). Are these rude?
I always was under the impression that it was rude to ask for specific gifts, but now in the lead up every second person is asking us if we will have a gift registry or wishing well..so I think we will have to do something like that….

I don’t have a dress, I don’t have shoes, I don’t have a veil, I don’t have flowers, I don’t have a hairdresser, I don’t have music for the reception, I don’t have many many many things. We don’t even have any where to live!!!! Now that is the scariest of them all. Any body want to give rent us a place, say mid December??

And last but not least (nor the last on the lists of what I havent done for the wedding)
The Church has kinda left us feeling a little bewildered. We dearly want to be married by someone at our Church. To do so we have to do some marriage coucilling..I dont know how long for or what about a mystery! On contacting the church in November I was told it was too early. On talking to them in Jan I was told the people who do it have gone overseas..same in Feb and that they would look into it and get back to me. Then I was told to talk to our pastor..which I have done to no avail…perhaps I should get a celebrant? why it is still early enough to book one, I was looking forward to the whole marriage counselling thing though. Sighs.
